It is almost a right of passage for children to get to leave home for some time in the summer and join their friends and classmates at camp. Some might head off to a place where they can develop their artistic skills while others will go to summer ice hockey camps to help prepare them for the coming season. If you want your child to stay connected to their faith during their trip than you might want to consider sending them to bible camp. Here are some of the different choices when it comes to this style of summer fun.

There are many camps that are run by churches and faith groups and all of them are geared at different ages and have a different level of Christian learning within the average day. If you're just looking to let your child get away from downtown life in Toronto beaches real estate and want them to explore the outdoors than there are several camps that do not have specific bible studies but simply have a Christian attitude and observe the traditions and customs that go with that. You will find that many of the "regular camps" throughout Canada are actually run by Christian organizations.

If you want something a little more faith based than just letting them experience real country cooking instead of the usual barbecue Toronto catering than there are camps that still have many of the activities of a standard camp but also include discussion groups and seminars that are centered around religious topics. If your child is interested in being a part of their church youth group at home between going to their English language school and several extra-curricular activities than this might be the right choice for them. It will give them a well-rounded camp experience while still focusing some of their time specifically on the teachings of the Bible.

The last camp choice is for those that want the majority of their time spent learning more about their own faith and God. There are several camps that are held at churches throughout the country instead of a place where they can swim or hang out at a London Ontario horse jumping barn. These are more like summer retreats rather than a camp and allow children of many different ages to interact with others from across the province or further who have similar beliefs.

If you're looking for the right bible camp choice for your child than you should discuss with them what they want out of the experience. Some want a chance to be closer to nature while they are exploring their faith while others are more comfortable staying close to home and working in a classroom setting. There is certainly a camp out there that is right for any child.
