If someone asked you what the best selling book of all time was, what would you answer? Pride and Prejudice? The Lord of the Rings? Harry Potter? Would it surprise you to know that it is actually the bible? Yes, that's right, the bible. Not a tome on actively managed ETFs or a thrilling legal paperback, but a religious text that is over two thousand years old. To be fair, it did get quite a large head start on all of the other books, but that doesn't change the face that there are millions and millions of people out there who study the bible and follow its teachings. That's what Christian Bible Tracts is all about.
Just as there are many types of Christians, there are many different versions of the bible. In fact, there are even some non-Christian religions who use a version of the bible in their teachings. If you travel a lot for your work with Bahco Tools, pick up a copy of the bible in different local bookshops all over the world. You'll find a lot of variation, from the 24 books of the Hebrew bible to the 81 books of the Ethiopian Orthodox bible. In our bible versions section, we'll introduce you to some of the different versions of the bible you might want to read and where in the world you can find them.
In most Christian religions, however, there are two parts to the bible: the old testament and the new testament. Parts of the old testament date as far back as the 12th century B.C and deal with such topics as the birth of the world and the beginnings of human life. The old testament was originally written in Aramaic and Hebrew, but since most London real estate agents don't speak these ancient languages anymore, the majority of bibles are printed with these parts translated into English. You can learn more about the old testament in our old testament section.
Though the old testament is common to both Christianity and Judaism, the second part of the Christian bible is not accepted by members of the Jewish faith. It is known as the new testament. It deals with the life of Jesus, who is believed by Christians to be the son of God. Its parts were written much later than the old testament - 200 years ago or less depending on the section - and were originally written in Greek. The new testament is the part of the bible Christians who work at Muskoka catering might carry around in their purses.
Christians believe that the tracts present in the bible can offer advice on any type of situation that could occur in your life. So if you don't want to be your own boss, you could let God tell you what to do through the bible. However, the scriptures must be interpreted first, and Christians do not all agree on a single interpretation. We can introduce you to some of them in our interpretations and advice for life section.
